Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I took this course with professor Teal and she was great. She always found ways to keep the class interesting and her quirky personality kept everything fun. My main advice would be to pair up with others in the class and compare notes. She had a pretty heavy accent that was sometimes difficult to understand, but between myself and my peers, I was able to ensure I received all of the information i needed.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot more about artists and specific pieces of art through history. One highlight during the semester was the opportunity to attend an art show for Victor Valley College that I would have otherwise not known about. I was able to see the talent and different interpretations of art from those around me, and it gave me a few new perspectives on the craft. Another highlight was also learning about some of the more popular pieces in history including the Mona Lisa, David, and The Sistine Chapel. I was actually able to travel and see these three pieces recently, and this course prepared and helped me better appreciate seeing these masterpieces in person.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Show up to class, take notes and pay attention. She also has a very strong accent at times, so be sure to either ask questions if things are unclear or consult your peers and compare notes. Also be sure to be ready to go for the class before a test. She does a lengthy and effective test review that always had me going into exams with confidence.
