Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend it. The best teacher, if you ever needed extra help or didn’t understand a topic they would take there time to make sure you understand it. AICE Marine Biology at SHS is a very interactive course, especially when you go on the Carefree Learner boat.

    Course highlights:

Some highlights of this course is the opportunity to go on the Carefree Learner boat and to collect specimens. The specimens that we collect we then would observe them and take care of them for 2 weeks and then bring them back to the ocean.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be ready for an engaging and exciting course! Though you need to also study hard for tests and quizzes.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend it to the high school students who want to learn marine biology in a hands on setting. We go on the boat to study marine life, practice with the live tanks and testing the water and have intelligent conversations and discussions about Marine Biology at a sophisticated college level.

    Course highlights:

I learned so much about the various sea life, including coral ecology. Coral ecology is going to be my major in college with marine policy so this exposure was perfect for me.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to research on your own and stay current.
