Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Incredibly interesting subject material and Ms Foley teaches it in a way where you can relate it to modern day. Not only will you learn the foundations of human civilization, you'll end up genuinely enjoying it. There aren't tedious dates that need to be memorized, instead, the emphasis is on comprehension and an understanding of the material.
I learned how modern day cultures, events, and life itself stemmed from our history, and how you shouldn't look at it like "that's all old stuff in the past" but more like "what's happening today is a direct effect from the stuff that happened all those years ago."

Advice for students:
Make sure to do all the homework! Half the time she doesn't grade all the readings you do, but that's not what matters. She puts together the information to help you gain a greater knowledge and understanding of the time period. It's not a bore, either. The readings are usually quite interesting.
