Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Psychology gives you insight on various things you wouldn't think about. It helps you understand how your brain, body, and the systems within functions.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were memory, parts of the brain, the conditions and disorders. I learned about hindsight bias, how to organize, establish time-management, and that your book is your life.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Do not procrastinate. Do not take this class for granted. At the end of the year, watch AP Psych Crash Course Videos. They are the best resource possible.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I'd strongly advice others to enroll in this Ap psychology course on the basis that it provides an abundance of knowledge to students who want to learn about how the human mind thinks the way it does and why we are who we are. If you are someone who has always wondered why you think a certain way or how the things around you come to shape what makes you then this course should be a definite on your registration card next year. Both of our Ap psycology courses that are offered have amazing teachers who have a love for the course and make the material easy to learn. Granted it can be time consuming and a little overwhelming at times but it's worth it in the end. You'll never see the world the same way again, at least not without psychology terms filling the void when you remember something while you're out in every day life. This course really is the highlight of my day and I wish I could make it yours too.

    Course highlights:

Some highlights of this year that are most interesting would have to be when our class was learning about the 5 taste sensations. If you didn't already know you have five taste sensations: bitter, sweet, sour, salty, and umami. Our psychology teacher says it like this [ uuu-mommy] and it always makes everyone laugh. Another highlight of this year would have to be when we were learning about the mind palace, which is when you visual hard to forget objects in your house as to help you later remember large quantities of information, we visualized a vocab term next to our ovens where big bird was standing. And you know what no one forgot that vocab term. Lastly my final and best highlight of the year would have to be our teacher. She is so lively, energic, funny, and knows how to teach and do it well. She has never once been that teacher who reads off a PowerPoint in a monotone voice. She's always intriguing.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

The best advice I can give to prospective students would be to: always do your homework, study guide, and EXTRA CREDIT because it's not given often. Also don't cross Mrs. Douglas because she'll hunt you down in the middle of the school day. Finally the best piece of advice I can give is to not slack off in the fourth quarter andyes I know it can be a lot of work but don't slack off just fight till the end and I promise the results will be fulfilling.
