    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend it because, although it is a lot of work and reading every night, it is able to be applied to everyday life and is beneficial to the understanding of society around us.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course would have been the class discussions, because we were able to discuss the topics and better understand them this way, by talking it through with each other. I learned a lot this way; I learned different views, which broadened my understanding of others and allowed me to be more accepting.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would say to just do the reading and participate as much as you can, because it really is beneficial to learning and it's an amazing course, so work hard and put the hours in.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it not only is interesting, but it allows there to be a beneficial break from the difficult core classes. I was fortunate enough to have a great teacher, and she made sure to always make it so we wanted to learn about how the brain works. There were always collaboration projects, but the right amount of individual challenges as well. It pushed me to study for an extra class, but I learned an abundance of new information.

    Course highlights:

The two biggest highlights in this course were the group discussions and the independent studies. My favorite group discussion was about memory; we were able to reflect on our own memories and be able to define those memories with what we learned. I also had an independent study on mental disorders, and I was able to learn why people think that way, and what triggers those negative thoughts in their head.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Although this is not a core class and it seems like too much extra work, I would advise to spend at least 30 minutes learning about psychology every day because it apply to almost anything in life. I believe everyone should have a basic idea on how the brain works and how that affects how people act. It is worth taking, and the group discussions can not only give you a better idea of what you are learning, but also improve your speaking skills.
