Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Grimm made hard concepts so much fun. It was much easier to learn and memorize once he put his own swing on things. He gave us easy mnemonic devices to memorize, which definitely made thigs easier.

    Course highlights:

AP Biology is no easy course, but it can be with the right teacher. Photosynthesis and the Nervous system were probably my favorite because they were so easy to grasp, thanks to Mr. Grimm.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always to the nightly reading and take all the notes you can. Study in advance so you won't be stuck cramming the night before a test, when you should really be getting a good nights sleep.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If you are interested in biology and ready to work hard, this is the class for you. Mrs. Ahrens is very understanding and fun. She will be really helpful throughout the year and don't be afraid to ask for one on one help if you need to. They prepare you well for the AP Exam and all of their classroom exams. Make sure you're ready to put in the work if you want to get good grades, though!

    Course highlights:

You get to learn a lot of interesting things about cellular functions and genetics. They even make plants interesting! You will get to do a lot of cool experiments that most people in others schools don't get to do and get lots of helpful diagrams! Also, take homework and notes seriously because there will be pop quizzes!

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

The course difficulty is really dependent upon the individual. If you're good at Honors Biology it doesn't guarantee success, but if you're not good at Honors Bio, STAY AWAY! You will need to put in the effort and read the textbook! Make sure to read all your labs and understand them because they will give pop quizzes! The tests go way beyond memorizing-- you will have to genuinely understand the material and be able to apply your knowledge to scenarios and mock labs.
