    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I believe it is an essential course for any student pursuing a career in healthcare.

    Course highlights:

The structure and function at the molecular, cellular, and organismal levels of biological systems. Also about DNA; fundemental processes of gene expression and control of gene expression. Also the basic genetic engineering techniques and tools including recombinant DNA techniques and Polymerase Chain Reaction, and much more!

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

You can't fail IF you actually study. (So, study, study, study!) The instructor is punctilious, thus he really cares for the success of the student. He takes his time to simply explain any material to any student, and to students who feel intimidated by the subject, or as if its "clear as mudd".

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is interesting on a very personal level to learn about the inter workings of our molecule structures. Some would find this boring and useless, but everyone should know their bodies, as they are the only ones we have and a greater understanding is beneficial on many levels.

    Course highlights:

Chemical and biological structures and functions of biological systems. I gleaned information on how to care for my system more efficiently by understanding why certain foods or activities will help the body to work properly and heal better.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I listened to every narrated lecture and took notes on every thing that was said in them. I studied purely from the quizzes given each week and the essay questions he supplied and was able to get an A in the class.
