    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I believe this isn't just a course for students who want to major in English or Writing in college. It has taught me valuable skills in speaking and writing that I can use in any major, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to challenge themselves and become a more balanced student.

    Course highlights:

One of the best parts of this course was working with poems and short stories, because they have a lot of interpretation for very little words. I learned how to look at poetry differently, rather than just something that is fun to read.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be organized and keep a journal. Having some place to jot down notes as you're going over a poem or book in class was very helpful.
