    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is a required class for the degree program. We learned things such as Foley Cathater placement, nasal gastric tube placement, tracheostomy. care and suctioning, wound and dressing care, charting, assessments

    Course highlights:

Some of the highlights of the course was the hands on interaction with our patients. We had a 6 week flip learning class. This means your take 2 classes in 1 semester but they are in 6 week intervals and then you switch. At our college, you reviewed and learned the material at home and was reinforced the next day of class. This class was tough and rigorous. My best advice? ORGANIZE now and Treat everything with a sense of urgency

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

My best advice? ORGANIZE now and Treat everything with a sense of urgency, don't procrastinate! Learn the importance of each electrolyte and normal values will save you a ton of time.
