    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class is perfect for two types of people: those who love to write and those who need to improve writing skills. Through the numerous essays that are written a student can expect to learn skills that will help with future writing assignments on into college. If you are the type of student that loves writing take this class to hone and refine your writing skills for the future this class is for you, or if you are the type of student that could stand to learn a few skills on how to become a greater writer then this class is also for you.

    Course highlights:

Before taking this class I considered myself to be an above average writer, but within the first two weeks I learned more about what I needed to improve in my writing than I ever thought was imaginable. I learned how to implement time management skills into my writing. I learned how to balance the amount of time researching and using resources with the actual writing and revising time. Also I strengthened my grasp of persuasive writing, learning how to use ethos, pathos, and logos in a completely new way. Most importantly I learned how to greatly improve my diction. This class will push you to learn new terms and use them more effectively in order to make your writing more persuasive and intelligent.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeeded in this class a student must have the desire to improve their writing skills. Taking this class will be like a part time job. You must set aside at least an hour or two a night for the writing that goes on. Also this class is not recommended for procrastinators. The assignments will build up if you are not too careful. You must also have a slight interest in reading because there is quite a bit of that. It is also recommended that you are able to speak in front of a whole class with ease, there are a few public speaking assignments. And my last piece of advice, don't underestimate this course. It can and it will hurt your grade if you don' take it seriously.
