This class was tough.
Course Overview:
I would recommend this course because it forms a great background of knowledge for future math courses.
Course highlights:
Since this was one of my faster paced courses, I quickly learned that going in for help after or before school is always a good option. Sometimes class work isn't enough.
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
I suggest figuring out why you don't understand something as soon as possible. It is almost guaranteed that you will be using the same basic skills over and over again. So make sure you understand it the first time it comes around!
This class was tough.
Course Overview:
I would recommend this course because it provides such a great challenge for students who excel in the math subject. Even though the subject can be a little intimidating, in the long run, it is a class well worth the time. As long as a student pays attention in class, he will be able to do well.
Course highlights:
I learned how to solve derivatives, or the slopes of an equation. For example, if the equation is y=x, the derivative of that would be y'=1. I also learned how to solve integrals, which is the opposite of derivative.
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
I would recommend students to study everyday little by little. Even 15 minutes is good enough, as long as you understand what is going on. I don't recommend cramming as it only leads to one result and that is failing the test. If you don't understand what is going on, feel free to ask the teacher questions.
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
I would recommend it because it's a great math course that gets you prepared for college.
Course highlights:
It was a lot of learning about integrals and derivatives.
Hours per week:
3-5 hours
Advice for students:
As long as you put the work in, you'll do great. Just make sure to ask for help when needed.
