    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The course is giving me a glimpse into what being a marine science major will entail. It was created by a teacher who has a passion for marine science and I love learning from someone who shares my passion.

    Course highlights:

The best part of the course for me is the dissection labs, where we get to look at marine life and learn about how the different species function, breed and survive. This has helped me develop a keen understanding of our responsibility to sustain the oceans and the creatures that call them home.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You should have a love of science to take this class. I found it helpful to study with a classmate when we have to memorize phylum and other scientific terms. We use chemistry as part of this class so make sure you pay attention in chemistry!
