    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is a wonderful way to help prepare students for college. We're always working on college prep, and it's one of the few courses I feel will actually help me with my future. Also, the teacher is really helpful, and aspires to bring out the best in every student.

    Course highlights:

A few highlights of the course would definitely include the essays. Although that seems ridiculous, it was actually really helpful writing all those papers and essays. They're great help for students who are planning on going into college, because we learn how to properly format and type up college level essays.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend not doing anything last minute. Although almost every kid I know is horrible with procrastination, if you put off any of the projects until last minute, I guarantee you won't make it through the class. The projects are long and tedious, and require much time and attention. Pace yourself through the assignments and you'll be fine.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mrs. Arciniega is one of the only teachers that actually dedicated time to her students. There is no one more qualified than she to help students with the English language.

    Course highlights:

Besides the Sat vocabulary, she taught me how to write a rhetorical essay, something completely different than what I had originally been accustomed to. This class taught me to think objectively.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are not an applied student prepare to change your ways. Not only will you be learning how to write essays, but your whole perspective on certain topics might change.
