Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

American Studies at my school is a combined class of English and History. It is highly recommended because the things you learn in history reflects what you will be learning in English and vice versa. You will learn so much in this class because it is fun! To relate to my application response, socratic seminars, and debates in person gives better understanding for learning this course than on paper or through a screen.

    Course highlights:

We learned so much dated back before the 1920's- current day. Essay essentials are also learned but in this course it is more focused on strengthening writing skills. Partnership is a big factor in this class as well.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Complete given assignments as soon as possible, deadlines come quickly! Pay attention and ask many questions- the tests are hard. Be creative and have the attitude to want to strive if you are considering this course.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Clark was an incredible teacher. He was always very engaging with the class, and kind to all his students. His socratic discussions were a personal favorite of mine, and he really put a lot of love and enthusiasm in his lessons.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about both literature and philosophy. I'll always remember his lesson on the trolley problem.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely study all your vocabulary, and read and annotate your materials as soon as possible. Falling behind on those things will really come back to you.
