Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

What I did not like about this course, (apart from my own general aversion to history classes), was that I maintained As and Bs throughout the entire school year, which suggested that I was well familiarized with the content of the exam, yet when I took the exam I ended up with a 2 (fail). I did not hate the class by any means, but I was frustrated that I could do apparently so well all year only to fail the AP exam. I wish the tests throughout the year had been more challenging in order to better prepare us for the exam.

    Course highlights:

Honestly, I cannot remember much of what I learned in this class specifically as all of my IB history classes since have begun to run together into one heap of mental garbage. Nonetheless, I really like the teacher as a person, I just don't think she (a)pushed us hard enough.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely take studying the material into your own hands if the unit tests are not challenging you enough to do so in the first place.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It's always important to know your country's history to recognize patterns and how the country would react to a certain situation. "History doesn't repeat itself, but it does often rhyme."

    Course highlights:

I learned the reason to every war, the reaction of the people and government, the aftermath of every thing. I've seen through this class that country's can be rebuilt after what seems like the end of the world. I know that this country is only as strong as its people, and we hold the power to get ourselves out of any problem if we work together. There's no need to worry when there is pride to live here.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

When the teacher provides resources; take advantage of them. There's no need to do poorly on a test or quiz when study guides are given. Also, teachers aren't paid enough to just sit at a school that they don't want to be at. They're teaching because they care, so don't be afraid to ask the teacher for help or see what else the teacher is willing to offer to help a student succeed.
