    Awesome class and teacher! She is tough but she is also a fun and enjoyable teacher

    It was a fun class to take and very educational atvthe same time.

    Course Overview:

    We wrote almost 15 formal essays throughout the year on books that we rad as a class. This helped teach me how to write a good essay a well as become more accurate with citations.

    Course highlights:

    I learned how to write a good essay and incorporate in text quotes into my writing seamlessly. Furthermore I enhanced my knowledge in different pieces of literature by authors of different cultures.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    Do not wait until the night before to begin your formal essay. Take multiple days to write it, proofread, and make corrections so that you have an essay written to the best of your ability.

    Course Overview:

    IB English for the junior year of high school was excellent in incorporating other cultures into the lives of American students. This course encompassed a fast paced learning environment and challenged students to reach their full potential.

    Course highlights:

    This course was beneficial in breaking down the essentials elements of literary works. During the course of this class I learned how to interpret and discuss the devices used by authors and poets, and the significance of the messages presented through their writing.

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    It is always a great idea to do the assignments before they are due, because it will be one less thing for you to worry about. This course involves the reading of numerous novels, so make sure to read and comprehend thoroughly, and reading the books more than once is always beneficial.
