This class was tough.
The main reason why I would not recommend this course is because there wasn't any formal textbook, but instead, a compilation of online articles written by the professors. I found it quite difficult to study for the exams using these articles, given that they did not go into much detail but rather, covered the general concepts we were learning about. However, on the exams you were required to know the material in depth.
This course covered the biological topics of molecules, genomes, evolution, ecology, and health. The highlight of the course for me was learning about DNA, cells, and genetics since I am very interested in medical science. I also really enjoyed working with microorganisms in the lab portion of the course since it really taught me more about the basic forms of life.

Advice for students:
For students considering this course, I would say that you really need to keep up with the material since so much is covered before each exam. If you start falling behind, it will be really difficult to cram before the exam and you probably won't have time to learn everything on your own.
