Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because it was a different take on the history of literature in America. We studied African American art throughout the course, which we don't always focus on in other classes. I found this to be a new experience which I very much enjoyed, and I would gladly like to take this course again.

    Course highlights:

We were studying the works of artist and author Ashley Bryan during this course, and we went to visit his exhibit at the High Museum of Art as a class. As we were looking around the exhibit, Bryan himself appeared there! It was an amazing opportunity to meet such a talented person, and I learned to appreciate artwork with a finer eye.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to put in good effort when writing the essays and portfolios. As long as you do some hard work, you will be rewarded well.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Marzoni is so enthusiastic about what he does, and he makes it his goal to make sure everyone's learning style is catered to. He knows how much engineering majors tend to hate writing, so he gives assignments that are based around other types of media, and separates projects into increments so that you don't realize you have actually written a 5-page paper by the end of it.

    Course highlights:

The main thing I learned was how to view things from every possible perspective. Instead of looking at things from two sides, he facilitates discussion about the two obvious "sides" of a situation, then forces you to think outside of the box and see it from less obvious perspectives.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't skip out on the readings. They're actually really interesting and the discussions following them are almost always amazing.
