Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This was easily one of the best courses I have taken at Georgia Tech. It solidified my decision to study international affairs and Dr. Jordan is one of the most impressive, intelligent, and interesting professors the department has to offer.

    Course highlights:

My personal favorite part was learning about the various theories of international relations, about the different ways that international affairs scholars frame the issues, both current and historical. These perspectives come up all the time in my later studies, and being able to analyze policies and events from them is immensely helpful.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

DO THE READING. Reason one: It's helpful. It's relevant to lecture and often helps enhance what she's talking about because you'll have a concrete example or second explanation. Reason two: It's interesting actually. Most of these examples are more in-depth and non-traditional than the examples given in lecture, so they're quite enjoyable.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because you learn more about how society has developed into how it is today. You learn about the current issues and how to analyze them. The class isn't easy, but as long as you put in the effort, you can get a good grade.

    Course highlights:

The professor allows a lot of discussion between students to see how we think. He also will speak about current events and allow us to apply what we have learned in class. The professor also makes the class and subject more interesting. We learned a lot about different theories and ideas about society and how to analyze today's issues. We learned about ethics in the subject of international relations.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to do the readings so that you understand what will be discussed in class. Highlight or reread the reading to ensure that you fully understand it. Ask the professor questions when you don't understand something. He will gladly answer.
