    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This class prepares you for presentations and how to get comfortable with public speaking.

    Course highlights:

We were required to utilize Powerpoint weekly to submit presentations. We were also required to use Kaltura to record presentations and offer them for critique from peers in the class. This proved very useful because a perspective was gained as to how I was viewed either as effective or needing improvement.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

This course is a must have. Young people are losing the ability to effectively communicate because of social media. It gives the student the opportunity to learn to how to speak effectively and how to deal with the perception of others as to how your message is received.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were the impromptu speeches which really taught me a lot about how to deal with being put on the spot, I really learned how to deal with the pressure of giving an unprepared speech.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely go into this class with and open mind and be prepared to step out of your comfort zone.
