    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course for students who want to know how to use their knowledge to do something in the real world. This course is very hard but it can be easy if you learn how to micromanage. It prepares you for college in a way that no other English class does.

    Course highlights:

To pass this course, I had to manage my time very well and work very hard. Mrs. Cartier focuses on real world writing and it's not like another English class where you fill out a sheet to write an essay. You have to take responsibility for ever assignment. She does a unique project called the "20% project" and you take every Friday to work on something important to you that results in a big deliverable. You also have to give a speech about your work on the project and why you wanted to do it. She works on real world things, teaches you how to collaborate with others, and allows you to express your ideas.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed you have to manage time very well. Stay ahead of the assignments and remember dates that are due. You can't relax at any time, put in all your effort and you will fly through this class.
