    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class was very vigorous and challenging. It focused on not only connecting several scientific concepts, but also using them in the real world. This class requires lots of time and hard work, and can often be difficult to juggle with many other courses.

    Course highlights:

My favorite part of this course was lab. We were expected to use one week to work on our pre-lab as well as conduct the lab, and another week to do post lab work. This part was really cool because we did lots of independent laboratory work and we were able to see so many theories in an actual application.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend not falling behind in this course whatsoever. Anytime you are confused make sure to ask questions and do lots of practice problems. Study with others, especially someone who is doing better than you in the class.

    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Great teacher for AP Chem, if you listen in class and fill in the guided notes you will do fine. Hardly opened the textbook, only used it to do break assignments such as learning names for organic chemistry material. Preps you well for the AP exam. Difficult to get in touch with for extra help because so many kids go after school to ask questions/kiss up to him. Does openly pick favorites, some extra credit opportunities especially during second semester.

    Course highlights:

I really enjoyed the course material and gained a very in-depth understanding of general chemistry to the point where I passed the AP exam with a 5. I will be taking Organic Chemistry at Johns Hopkins in the fall because I felt so comfortable with intro chemistry.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You have to try hard. There is no easy way of getting a good grade. You have to be willing to ask questions when you don't understand because it is a fast paced class. Don't save all your studying for the last night because you will regret it since the material is so dense.
