    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you enjoy math and want to push yourself, this is a great course. If you struggled at all with past math classes it may be very difficult.

    Course highlights:

This class teaches you advanced mathematical formulas and ideas that will be extremely helpful if you go into any profession that involves mathematics or you want to avoid taking calculus in college.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are great at math go for it. If you aren't great it may hurt your GPA, but it will help you significantly with calculus in college which is usually a required course. If you struggled dearly with past math classes, this will only hurt your GPA and most of the material will stress you out more than it needs to and most likely will go straight over your head.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend taking this course because our teacher took a general interest in our understanding of the subjects being taught. Also, our teacher loved talking to us about our lives outside of the classroom, which made you feel more comfortable to ask questions for things you did not understand.

    Course highlights:

What highlighted this course was the amount of confidence you had on the subjects you were taught. I can not say that there was any one subject that "highlighted" the course more than the rest; but, what made this course worth taking is that, if you put in effort, you would come to understand everything you saw throughout the course. I learned about derivatives, slope fields, optimization, integrals, and the disk method.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are considering taking Calculus A, prepare to not understand everything you are being taught. There are going to be days when you doubt yourself on whether or not you can finish the course. Most students go through this at some point in the year; but, you have to keep pushing through. Make sure to always do the homework that is assigned and you will begin to see the patterns that occur in the math. Above all, do not be afraid to ask your instructor for help.
