    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I highly recommend Calculus AB mostly because the class pushes you to focus and direct your attention to small details while the teacher continuously assists you.

    Course highlights:

The best part about this course were the rigorous topics. My personal favorite topic was Cross Sections plainly because this ties in with so much Algebra.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Constantly study, focus in class, and complete all homework

    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mrs. Marquez is an excellent teacher who makes learning calculus easier and fun! I recommend taking her class if you feel you would do well on the AP test, or if you feel it would make any college calculus courses easier. However, if you do not plan on taking calculus in college as part of your major or you don't like math, this may be a difficult class that takes up too much of your time.

    Course highlights:

The class is very fast paced, so there is much to learn and much you will forget if you don't study. Mainly, I took advantage of learning how to graph myself without using a calculator. Don't always rely on calculators. They are very useful, but they might not always help with your knowledge of math if you take advantage of them.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to study! If you don't study, you will fail. It's all about memorizing formulas. Also, if you need help, don't be afraid to ask! It's better to ask a question than remain silent and never know.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you enjoy math and want to push yourself, this is a great course. If you struggled at all with past math classes it may be very difficult.

    Course highlights:

This class teaches you advanced mathematical formulas and ideas that will be extremely helpful if you go into any profession that involves mathematics or you want to avoid taking calculus in college.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are great at math go for it. If you aren't great it may hurt your GPA, but it will help you significantly with calculus in college which is usually a required course. If you struggled dearly with past math classes, this will only hurt your GPA and most of the material will stress you out more than it needs to and most likely will go straight over your head.
