    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Not only rigorous, thus looking good on your transcript, it enables one to explore in detail what makes up the great world we live in.

    Course highlights:

I learned about microscopic changes in the world known as quantum mechanics for chapter 6, and chapter 12 explores the chemical composition of materials.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Use your resources wisely: read each chapter and document important information, watch videos and review. When reviewing try to solve AP chem problems, just reading over notes doesn't do much in regards to your performance.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because many people who take this challenging course throughout high school end up excelling and have a good depth of knowledge on these concepts for when they take the course in college.

    Course highlights:

My most memorable parts of the class were the labs that we did. These labs were very challenging along with the lab reports that we had to write with them but over time, with my teacher's assistance, I was able to get through them. The best part was that in doing the lab, it really helped prepare me for the tests that we took at the end of each unit.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in this class, you MUST review your notes outside of school, watch online videos, read the textbook, and go to any tutoring sessions that are available for you. Most importantly, if you do not understand a concept well, DO NOT be afraid to ask your teacher or your peers for help because not fully understanding a topic will affect you later on in a different chapter.
