    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course to anyone who is interested in physics and has taken an intro course. The professor is incredible and the activities and labs incorporated with the course are super fun.

    Course highlights:

I've gained a thorough and clear understanding of mechanics, electricity and magnetism concepts. However, one of the best lessons I've learned from this course was the importance of studying frequently and slowly working through homework assignments instead of trying to learn a chapter's worth of material in one or two days.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would put in some work every day, or at least every other day, so that you won't be cramming the night before the test. Don't be afraid to ask questions, and working in group is really beneficial.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Very challenging but that's part of the fun. Mr.Shaw is an amazing teacher

    Course highlights:

I loved using calculas to solve physics problems, it made what we learned in math class useful and in an interesting way at that.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take it. but know how to manage your time

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is a great course for those looking to delve deeper in to physics after junior year. While the course is challenging, that could be considered a good thing. It pushes you to think deeply and truly grasp the material. You will be surrounded by peers that are also extremely bright and motivated and Shaw is a great teacher as well!

    Course highlights:

The labs and demonstrations are not there just for the sake of having them. They foster critical thinking skills by forcing you to discover new ideas and come to conclusions on your own rather than simply being told to you.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay on top of your problem sets! They take a lot of time and if you choose to put them off until the last minute, be ready to spend an entire day (at least 5 hours) to complete them. Also, pay attention in class! You will have a difficult time understanding the material if you don't, since a lot of key concepts are solidified in the classroom.
