    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course was one of the most helpful courses in all of high school. It helped me with my chemistry courses in college. I was always one step ahead of the rest of my classmates.

    Course highlights:

I learned so much in this course. It even helped me in college and the materials were the same. The experiments in college went by so much faster because I knew what I was doing.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to review the material everyday when you can. It is a lot of conceptual questions and there is a lot of reading involved in order to understand the content.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

In this course, a student will go deeper into the what affects the functioning of both the human body and the environment around us. We covered a number of topics including cell functioning, DNA, heredity, organ systems and functions, etc.

    Course highlights:

One of the lessons that I really enjoyed was on DNA. We learned about how DNA was replicated, how it is used to form proteins, and much more! in additions, not only did we simply read the textbook and fill out worksheets, the class was very hands-on. We participated in several labs. In one of the labs we were evaluating how the heart works. Students completed a variety of tasks that activated the heart rate. We measured the heart rate and determined if our hearts were in a healthy range.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Any student who wants to take this course should be interested in biology and has to put in a strong effort in keeping up with assignments and readings.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class is definitely for those who love doing labs and have a passion for chemistry. Mr. Michocki does a great job of teaching and keeping the class fun. Also, there is rarely ever homework, just notes.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of the course was definitely doing all the labs. Through the labs, I was able to learn many concepts that were on the AP exam including buffers, pH, titrations, pressure, and molecular bonding.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You definitely should read the chapters in the given textbook because you'll be lost in class if you don't. Also I recommend purchasing an AP practice book for this course because it really does help.
