    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because it provides adequate assistance in preparation for college. Students get a head start before other students beginning of their junior year.

    Course highlights:

Some highlights are being able to work on extended areas that other classes lack such a note taking or public speaking. After being in AVID for six years, I learned how to stay more organized and participate in class presentations.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would tell future students that this course offers extended skills that will help prepare for college especially between junior and senior year.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class has helped me more than anything to prepare for college. I have improved a lot academically, especially with note taking skills. This year, we get a lot of classes to apply to our colleges and scholarships.

    Course highlights:

Advice about which colleges to choose, especially financially. Cornell notes to improve our note-taking skills. Also, public speaking skills and collaboration skills.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You will absolutely thank yourself and AVID teacher for taking this class. Without it, I would not be nearly as prepared as I should be.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it because if you are heading to college, this course will help you. It will get you prepared to be a college student.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was going on the college field trips. Some of the colleges that I was interested in, I got a chance to visit. It showed me if the college was a good match or not.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The advice I would give is to stay on top of your work. If your grades are slipping, then you can get suspended or kick out. You have to be aware of due dates.
