Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Poppema is one of the best teachers that I have every had. He help me prepare for the AP examine in which I passed. I had so much fun taking this course and learned so much about the way our society and our bodies function.

    Course highlights:

The highlight for me was passing the AP examine. My favorite thing I learned was about Sigmund Freud and the unconscious desires we have.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Participate in class, the more you participate the more you learned. I attempted to get involved in every discussion which help me consume knowledge and prepare me for the examine.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend taking this class. If you are fascinated by the human brain and what goes on inside it this is the class for you. Mr. Poppema, uses all sorts of teaching methods. This makes it fun and easy to learn the material.

I loved the mini experiments and projects that Mr. Poppema had us do. This enabled me to remember the material. The material that he covered started from the history of psychologists, to the human brain.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always take notes and participate in the discussions. This will make understanding the material easier.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this wonderful course. I have learned so much from this course. The lectures were not boring at all because we would do a lot of hands-on activities and even watch some movies. Moreover, the teacher covered everything in the reading so it would be okay even if you forgot to read a section.

    Course highlights:

I can vividly remember the activities we did during the biology unit. I learned so much about the brain, how it gets stimulated, and many other things. In fact, this unit inspired me to want to do something related to biology in college. This was the best part of the course for me. I also liked watching crash course videos before the exams. It helped me cram all I needed to efficiently.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The most important thing to know is that you have to pay attention during the lectures and presentations. This is because most of that information will be on the upcoming test. There aren't many projects so you will have to do good on the tests to get a good grade. Other than this, you will be fine!
