Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

AP Government is an excellent course to take because it teaches students the fundamental knowledge of the U.S. Government as well as how to become a more educated voter. This is an increasingly important knowledge to have so that students understand their rights as citizens and how to exercise their rights appropriately. Not only that, but students will have a political knowledge that will allow them to participate in educated political conversation and truly understand how the country should operate.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were basic U.S history, which is usually covered in pervious courses, detailed explanations of each branch of government, important details of the constitution, and detailed descriptions of the political process.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Studying in groups and using your classmates is extremely helpful in this class. The material is very easy, it just takes time to look over, so studying with classmates allows you to be able to practice these ideas more and pick up information that you may have missed. Watching the news or keeping up with politics online can also be helpful so that you can connect information from within the classroom to real life.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because it establishes the basic foundations of government that every American citizen should know. It not only covers the basic history of the government, but the complex structure that it is made up of. After taking this course, you will be able understand more about the government that runs the United States. This allows you to be more knowledgeable when voting and to understand more political issues that are being discussed within the world.

    Course highlights:

I learned the basic structure of U.S. Government, the roles of each branch and component of the government, the basic history of U.S. Government, the voting process, and political campaigning.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Everything within this class connects. When you move onto the next chapter, the terms aren't ignored, but incorporated further. It is also very important to always make sure you know about important court cases that set precedents in the government because they are always major topics in the tests for the class. The flashcards are the most helpful study tool for the class, so save them for the final or AP Exam.
