Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Biology taught here class is more than enlightening, it's fun. Mrs.Toepel, the teacher, ensures that you have a great day because of Biology. My journey towards Medicine has begun here!

    Course highlights:

Studying the Human Body was the best! While conducting dissections, we learned the way structures can differ between animals and how we can be related to them!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't fear the power of Biology! The knowledge gained in this class will stay with you, if you let it! Make sure that you have taken IB1 before this course.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course covers many topics at a surface level and is always engaging

    Course highlights:

Labs, class discussions, and organized notes were the highlights of this course. Labs brought real world uses to the topics covered in notes. Class discussions between the students and the teacher lead to applying the topics to your own life and making the content more personal and/or easier to remember. Organized notes meant that I was never stressed to find the information I needed when studying.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Simply pay attention in class and find a study buddy to go over material with before tests.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

In my personal opinion, this course covers many important units that are much more interesting than the ones covered in IB1 Biology. These units include but are not limited to digestion, gas exchange, reproduction, transport system, excretory system and homeostasis, and defense against infectious diseases.

    Course highlights:

Some things that I learned from this course that are really interesting and relevant to me is what happens to the food that we eat when it enters our body and what roles do different organs play in this process, how we inhale oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide, how our body gets the nutrients it needs from the food we digest, and what our bodies do to protect us against infectious diseases.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

This class is heavily based on listening to what the teacher is saying and writing down what she says as well as what's in the notes packet. If you do these two, you can easily get a good grade on the assessments.
