    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    This specific course took what students already thought they knew and expanded their thoughts beyond the surface exposed to them in past history classes.

    Course highlights:

    The teacher helps form the opinion of the class to the student. In my opinion, this particular teacher was my favorite part of this course.

    Advice for students:

    Studying is the key to this class. Just because one believes they know everything to a story, there is always another side to tell.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    This class informs you of the history and cultures that our ancestors came from. Along with the great pleasure of having a teacher that informs you not just the history but the stories behind it. Get ready to take some notes but also be ready to learn the deeper parts of history. There is no vocabulary however there are a great many study guides you must complete. You must pay attention to the slideshows and lectures given by the teacher to pass this class. Having a friend help you study along with good note taking skills help you succeed in this class. Along with knowing your other classes workload you determine how long you can study.

    Course highlights:

    Learning about the Greeks and Romans all the way through the Renaissance shows you the advancements in our world. Learning about Michelangelo and the Sistine Chapel and how Joan of Arc bringing an end to the Hundred Years War. You get to learn about the people, the inventions, and the wars. Also learned about the Crusades and how much influence the church had on the people. You'll learn about their way of life, city structures, politics and belief systems. You learn about the people who ruled, how they ruled and how it affects our generation now. Many of the aspects that were put in place years ago and are still used today.

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    Must enjoy history and have a ability to listen and take notes for a long periods of time. Along with the ability to remember specific people and why wars were fought. Even having to deal with the reality that history might be different than you originally thought. Church is discussed in a large amount throughout this class in a history aspect. This class is a great class to take to learn about the world as a whole not just American history.
