Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

She is a very difficult teacher, but you will definitely get better at writing essays with her.

    Course highlights:

My favorite section was poetry. Poetry was never my strongest suit so I learned out, way more than what I would have learned in regular English class.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you take this course, make sure you don't wait and put things off to the last minute. It will be a big mistake so stay on top of things.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

While at times this course can be exempt interesting there is a lot of work involved that can soon become repetitive and dull.

    Course highlights:

I learned about the different lenses that can be used for literary analysis and how almost all literature can be interpreted in multiple ways. I also learned a lot from the poetry unit on the different types of poetry such as Sestinas, Villanaellas, Ballads, Odes, Elegys, Blank Verse and Free verse.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to do all your homework as it makes up a big part of your grade.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class really forced me to look at our reading through a different lens, and really focused on connecting the different books that we read from different time periods and authors.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed reading The Scarlet Letter, because we learned a lot about Puritan Values and the motivations behind such terrible treatment of the protagonist.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Participate as much as you can and always do the reading.
