Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class is informative and allows you to improve you writing skills through group discussions and practice writes. It's a laid back class that provides you with the opportunity to expand your skills and techniques.

    Course highlights:

Highlights of this class was being able to learn from the mistakes I made. Whenever we wrote essays we would get feedback on how to improve from our classmates and teacher, so we could score better the next time. In class we learned the difference between word choice and diction, how to analyze an essay, and build an essay through our analysis.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep on top of the work that is given so you don't fall behind. It is fairly simple as long as you pay attention. This class is advanced placement, so if you are not willing to learn how to write well and understand different styles of writing then don't take it.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is challenging, but worth it. Mrs. Gleason is an amazing, but tough teacher when it comes to writing but it is only because she wants you to become a better writer. I'd advise students to not give up and don't be afraid to ask for help.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to improve my writing and think outside the box. We focused on non-fiction abstract topics that I had a difficult time with because I thought I was always wrong. However, your own thoughts and beliefs are going to separate yourself from other students in the classroom.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise students to read the text book while annotating, as well as focus in class. You can easily get distracted and completely miss what she is talking about, and when there is homework, do it.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It gives you a phenomenal grasp on the English language.

    Course highlights:

The new interactions and feedback I got from other students.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't get discourage if you think you're not a good writer, or even if you thought you were a strong writer, but your grade says otherwise. This skill develops with time.
