Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class was very interesting and I actually looked forward to it! The lectures she gives are super entertaining and insightful and cover more than just the plain facts. However it is an AP class so it does require a lot of studying and time put into absorbing material.

    Course highlights:

Mrs. Tessler is incredibly passionate about what she teaches and it shows through her lectures. I love how she covers topics like social issues, race, gender, and religion because it makes the class way more interesting than other history classes.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

When I took this class a couple years ago we had a chapter test almost weekly and had to turn in a set of full cornell notes for the chapter along with it so be prepared for that. The only time the class gets boring is when we have to do class work the whole period instead of listening to a lecture. Sometimes she turns off the lights and shows videos which in all honesty can make you very sleepy, especially if you stayed up late the night before. Mrs. Tessler is a sweetheart but can't remember names for her life so make sure to be involved in class conversations and have chats with her if you want her to know you and like you.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because you get to learn more about your own countries history and what our founding fathers went through.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course for me was getting to see the reasons behind why our founding fathers put certain things in the constitution and how it effected us then and now.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do all the reading! It may be a lot but it will be worth it when the test comes around!! You will do great!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this class because it opens your eyes on how the United States became and what our founding fathers went through in creating the constitution, etc.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed when we learned about why our founding fathers worded the constitution the way they did and how it still affects us today.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Even though taking regular US history might sound better, push yourself and take AP. It is a great opportunity to go in depth and it's about our own country so it's even more interesting.
