Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Personally, I loved spanish. I think it's so neat being able to study another people's language and culture. The class is fun and interactive as well.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to conjugate verbs and form simple sentences. I think that it's important for us to study other languages so that we can create the opportunity for ourselves to communicate with people we otherwise wouldn't be able to communicate with.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be sure to study. Learning another language isn't easy but you can make connections back to english easily. Practice makes perfect so reading and doing the homework does help.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This first Spanish speaking course has opened my mind up to a world full of different cultures and languages. Thanks to this Spanish class, I can now understand and talk with my family in the Dominican Republic and have also started to pick up the Italian language. Once you understand the basics of Spanish, any other language is a little easier.

    Course highlights:

Other than learning how to speak, write, and understand Spanish, I have gained a lot of knowledge about their culture.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Flashcards got me through this course. Study vocabulary words by writing them on flashcards!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It's been many years since I have taken the class and still retain majority of the information.

    Course highlights:

I liked that we were able to get into groups and write skits and perform for the class speaking only Spanish. Not only did I learn Spanish words but I also learned how to utilize what I learned by carrying a conversation.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

To really engulf yourself in the culture, there is a lot more to learn and gain than just speaking Spanish.
