Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA)
Kosovo treated Serb aggression with peaceful resistance until it was clear in'l help would not liberate them as they weren't included in the Dayton Agreements on 1995. At first, the KLA was considered a criminal organization. After the OSCE sent the Kosovo Verification Mission views changed and they were considered protectors from ethnic Albanian genocide. The army stopped all operation after independence with the UN providing safety and immunity. Recently, Kosovo agreed to try some members in the International Criminal Tribunal of Yugoslavia despite public disapproval.
