Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It was a great class and it helped improve my writing and analytical reading in many ways. Atleast three times a week, we would analyze books, poems, and essays together. Though, very often, we got off track.

    Course highlights:

I passed the AP exam so obviously a lot was learned. There was a huge emphasis on finding the message in things you read, whether it be a book or poetry. Also we did video projects, which were fun if you read the book.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

There were plenty pop quizzes, so always read what you are assigned to read. There is also a ton of writing so you must look forward to that. Most of it was practice for the AP exam. Also a ton of projects, which take a good chunk of your time. Projects would typically include an essay, unless it was a video project.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This class has a very relaxed atmosphere and is quite ideal for learning. You learn about the history of British literature and the reasons why British literature presents itself in the way it does. You also learn about Shakespeare and his flavorful writings that were based off if his personal life and the local political agenda.

    Course highlights:

My highlight would have to be covering Shakespeare's Hamlet. Discussing his imagery, sarcasm, and wit makes this part of the curriculum very entertaining. Dissecting this Shakespearean tragedy is intellectual adventure that encourages students to think critically.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to review everything at least once of twice.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mrs. Takach is a fabulous teacher - you will have to work, but the reward is worth it. I learned a lot in this class, and had a blast with her.

    Course highlights:

This class really prepared me for the AP test, which I did well on. We covered a lot of British Literature, from Beowulf to The Importance of Being Ernest.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to study for the Vocab quizzes - they may seem simple but the points add up. Don't procrastinate on the essays, Mrs. Takach is more than willing to help you as long as you don't come to her at the last minute.
