    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend taking this AP course, primarily because of the coursework that is required for you to complete. Although daunting, at the end of the school year, you will be happy that you made it through and relieved that you will not have to do it again. If you are looking for a challenging course and a course that is going to grow you as a student, I recommend taking AP English.

    Course highlights:

Honestly, prior to this course I was a mediocre writer. I made many mistakes regarding diction, syntax, and grammar. At the end of the course, I was relieved to find out that I had gained knowledge regarding these categories that would make me a better writer. I now know how to take an idea in my head and convey it on paper accurately. After all, it is important to see the whole meal, not just one dish!

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Ensure that you come into class everyday with your highest level of alertness. Everything that your AP Instructor tells you is likely a vital piece of knowledge that, whether you know it or not, will benefit you in some way one day.
