Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because I learned a great lot about writing and the mechanics of it.

    Course highlights:

My professor walked us through the rules of grammar and the laws of a good writer. Instead of simply telling us what they were, she showed us through multiple examples

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not procrastinate, leave at least three days before any assignment.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because of Professor Shinn. He is the kindest and most memorable professor I've ever had. Along with always having a positive attitude, he is always there to help. He strongly encourages to come to his office hours or to speak up during class if there are any issues or questions. He is always up for discussions so that you as a student can relate to the topic being taught. I have never seen Professor Shinn anything but happy. He has a genuine heart and wants and will do the best for his students to succeed.

    Course highlights:

In this course, I learned different types of poetry. I also learned about different genres and how to read different works from Marxist, psychoanalytic, and feminine views.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are an English major or minor take this class with Dr.Shinn if you need to take sophomore seminar one. The class is not hard if you keep up with the readings and assignments.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

While that seemed to work in the end, it was an excruciatingly dull class for 3 hours a week, watching students slowly learn how to give presentations.

    Course highlights:

In all, it was probably one of the worst English classes in my life.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

If you're too dumb to figure out a few things on your own, go somewhere else.
