Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If you're not one for studying or don't have the time, I wouldn't recommend this class. It is fast paced and you need to be able to stay on top of and know as much of the information given as possible. The test are there before you know it and there's a lot of information to cover in one unit. If you are good with history and are willing to take on the challenge of this class I would recommend it, especially with Mr. Serpone as your teacher.

    Course highlights:

From this course I have learned that hard work really does pay off. By studying the topics we were learning and using the resources my teacher gave me, I was able to better know the information. This allowed me to feel confident when taking tests.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Studying is a really what's going to help you in this class. Mr. Serpone gives you everything you need to be successful. It's your job as a student to use it so that you can pass the class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course travels through history in depth. It gives non biased information about all political figures and sheds light past the basic facts that everyone knows. You will definitely leave there feeling like an expert history major.

    Course highlights:

I learned things from the Silk Roads, to Alexander the Great, to hunter-gatherers, to the printing press and how they have an impact on life today. You start from about 8000 BCE to now. I learned how the map used to look and how it has evolved. The highlight of this course is realizing a lot of well known myths were wrong and then learning the truth about them.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed you need to study ALL the time, not just when you hear there's a test/quiz coming. Take notes on everything. Be on task in class. Do all your classwork and homework. Always ask questions! You'll be fine.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Serpone is a great teacher and more than prepares you for the advanced placement test. His class also helped me to be a better writer through the essay practices at the beginning of every class.

    Course highlights:

Its hard to sum up what i learned in this class, there was just so much. But the one key thing to take away is that the Mongols are always the exception.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you don't have a lot of time after school to study and do homework than do not take the class.
