    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it to students who have a strong interest in the environment or some type of science as their career or choice.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were learning the actual world problems of today and ways that could really contribute to society. I learned in this course how to keep my energy use down and make a positive impact in my community.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice for future students is to study days before each exam and take as much notes as possible.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class covers a massive advanced placement style textbook with an unimaginable amount of graphs, diagrams, and vocabulary terms that are tested on the AP exam. If you are not truly interested in the environment and are just trying to get a GPA boost from an AP class, this class is not for you! Students with a true passion for environmental science will learn the material they want to study for the rest of their lives.

    Course highlights:

As environmental crises are rising in number and importance globally, learning about environmental disasters in the past and how we can work to fix the ones facing the world now was an amazing experience. Learning how primary and secondary pollutants can damage both the environment and our bodies made me realize how we as a planet need to act now to save our planet.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep up with unit objectives as you learn them! I received an objective packet that was about 50 pages long at the beginning of the year and I did not touch it until April for the AP exam. I forgot nearly everything that I learned in the beginning of the year and it was nearly impossible to complete my objective packet.
