    | Would not recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The teacher was not prepared to teach the course. The material was not covered well, and the students were left unprepared to take the test.

    Course highlights:

The labs were fun. We learned more about the earlier chapters.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

LOTS of drive. Create a study group and don't get behind on homework.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I really enjoyed this course, but many students struggled with it. Personally, I really enjoy chemistry and find it really interesting. I'm glad I took this course, as it helped me realize I want to go into chemistry. However, I know others felt it tanked their grades. The teacher was not the best at explaining concepts, which caused some distress.

    Course highlights:

I loved learning about intermolecular forces. We learned so much it's hard to cover it all. We covered everything from moles to enthalpy and thermodynamics to organic chemistry. The labs, although difficult, were also a highlight. We did a small Christmas unit where we covered the inside of a glass bulb with silver. It was so fun.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to read the textbook. It covers a lot of things the teacher doesn't, and explains them in a different way. Always ask questions. Work with other students and study with them. Different people understand different things, and together you'll be able to work a lot of it out.

    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would like to recommend this to any student who would like to pursue science and who feels underchallenged in the classroom. It applies so many different math skills, and it dives deeper into the subject of chemistry.

    Course highlights:

Through this course, I have gained a thorough understanding of chemistry. The world works on it, and it is so cool to see it working in nature. I feel challenged and learn something new every day.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be ready to work hard, as it is very challenging. Don't be afraid to go in early or stay a bit late to ask questions, it will only help.
