Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would absolutely recommend AP Psychology to anyone even remotely interested in the subject matter! Mr. Pacheco is a fantastic teacher that uses a combination powerpoint/seminar style class to effectively teach his students material useful for daily life, not just for the test. The pace of the class is moderate, slow enough to understand but fast enough to never drag! Mr. Pacheco also has a great sense of humor he brings to and allows in his classroom.

    Course highlights:

I learned not only the materials required for the test, such as certain history, names, numbers, et cetera, but psychological facts that help me in day to day life. He taught about cognitive disorders, so that we better understand them, and how they eacg specifically effect the brain. He made sure to show us real life examples of the material and clips of old experiments to change up the learning styles, making an abundance of learning inevitable in his room!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would suggest to always read the chapter assigned. You will receive reading quizzes fairly often, and he will know when you didn't read! Make sure you pay attention during class, amd ask questions. Mr. Pacheco is an extremely knowledgeable man that will teach you just about everything you need to know, as long as you participate.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course. It included many discussions that were fascinating and relevant to the study topic as well as every day life. The professor was easy to talk to and made the three hour class fly by. The class was filled with different types of students and we were all able to learn a little about each other.

    Course highlights:

This course was great because we received a small quiz every week based on what we read and talked about. These quizzes were pretty easy and helped recap information. They also boosted grade. Along with the quizzes we had a midterm that was a research paper. It was very independent and topic choice was very varied. We also had a final and it was a large exam but not too difficult.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take this course. It's a great course for psychology background knowledge. The professor was great and it was a nice class.
