Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

In this course i learned alot about myself as a writer. I also learned alot about the style of writing that i was accustomed to, why i enjoyed reading certain pieces and why certain pieces intrigued me more than others. Throughout this course Dr. H was very helpful, inciteful and stuck to her guns. She is far from a push over and would tell it like it is. She was a little rough around this edges and i saw right through them and realized that what she was doing was inticing us to be passionate about our work. The more she pushed us, antagonize us and picked on situations the more passionate we became creatings STRONG creative writers. She is a WONDERFUL professor, sometimes not so pleasant... but after meeting with her One On One i realized that is a MODEL professor and that with her intelligence she can raise MODEL students and MODEL writers. I am so thankful to have been a product of her work. Thank you Dr. H

    Course highlights:

The course was thorough and it strengthened me as a writer, reader and surprisingly a listener. Now i listen for different KEY points in pieces and have a new interest for analyzing all sorts of literature. I learned that everything from a description on a can of soup to the lyrics of a song is a work of art and a product of someones writing strengths. My new appreciation for writing and reading has already strengthened me as a student enticing me to dig deeper and find the MEANING behind the words and not just read the surface.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't wait until the last second to fill in your writers notebook. Don't be offended by her personality and her way of teaching, she is VERY intelligent and if you take it for what it is you will learn alot about yourself as well.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is not the traditional English course. This course allows students to express themselves through fictional stories, poetry and drama. We create our own pieces of work. We make stories out of things we see like a mirror or an unique object. It is not about our grammatical errors but more about what we have to say.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course as being able to turn an object in to a story. I really liked continuing the life of something that had none. I learned that creative writing has no limits, you can write about anything. I also learned that it is not about those broad details but it is those sensory details that make a good story.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not wait until the last minute to complete the assignment and do not overthink. Create a story using your senses.
