    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I absolutely LOVED this course. Dr. Pickett knew just how to teach it, and not only teach, but keep you interested the entire 55 minutes. It was vital to this course to show up every day and be ready to take notes, because the exam was mainly lecture-based. I enjoy intense courses that require 100% of my attention, especially in topics I am interested in. I honestly wish that I could take this course again.

    Course highlights:

I thought criminology was mostly just going to be what makes people criminals and why they commit crimes, but it is so much more than that. There are so many theories in the world of criminology, and we learned so many, but only touched the surface on a few. This course made em want to go deeper and learn more about criminology, and learn more about the theories that interested me so much.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

TAKE NOTES AND GO TO CLASS. Unlike other professors, Dr. Pickett did not post his slides or notes online, and even if he had, it was vital to write down exactly every word he said regarding the slides, because that is what was going to be on the exam. If you every missed a class, you better make friends because you could have easily missed four pages of notes.
