    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This class provides a fun, hands-on way to learn about the human body. Through videos, dissections, and lectures, students are easily able to understand human anatomy.

    Course highlights:

The biggest highlight of the course is the cat dissection completed at the end of the year. Dissecting the cat is a reward and all-encompassing final activity that allows you to apply what you've learned to a whole being. Granted, it is not a human body, but cats have similar muscular, skeletal, and organ systems to humans, making it easy to compare the two.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice to students taking this course is to pay close attention and take notes. When such a detailed class is being taught, it can be easy to get overwhelmed and fall behind. By taking good notes, and asking for additional clarification when it is needed, students can thrive in this class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Howell is a great teacher that really encourages deep thinking into the subject of anatomy and physiology while still making the course feel laid back and incredibly fun. The course itself is challenging and requires a lot of memorization, but everything is very thoroughly taught through hands-on projects and dissections so it is nearly impossible to forget anything.

    Course highlights:

My favorite part of the class is, by far, the cat dissection. Near the end of the year, all your anatomy and physiology skills are put to the test through a cat dissection. Everyone breaks into small groups where they are assigned their own cat to dissect. Your group is responsible for naming the cat (we named ours Schrodinger) and cutting it up to show all the muscle groups and bones that we learned throughout the year. A big test was given in which we had to name all the parts in our dissected cat, and it summed up everything we had learned from the class. I also learned that dead cats begin to smell bad after two weeks of dissection.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I believe it is incredibly important to be involved and attentive in the class. The projects and dissections are a privilege that Mr. Howell provides. They are incredibly fun and learning these concepts in unique ways always helps a lot on the tests and quizzes.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Howell is great with teenagers. He understands what they go through and treats them like friends, not students.

    Course highlights:

I learned alot about the human body.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you ever need help dont be afraid to ask him!
