    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend taking AP Psych because you will learn so much. It challenged me, but I studied a lot and I was fine. You learn a lot on stuff that blows your mind, or that you would never even dream about. If you're interested in the psychology and biology of the mind, this class is for you!

    Course highlights:

I learned about the mind, the body systems, different psychological disorders, sleep, and emotions to name a few. I liked learning about the brain, because it can do so much and there is still so much information that we don't know about it. I also liked the disorder unit, because you can learn about different disorders that people have. For example, there is multiple personality disorder, where people can have more than 10 personalities that they switch to randomly, and they actually believe they are different people. Scientists have given evidence that these personalities are real from different body temperature, hormones, etc. It's just very cool.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you actually take the time to fully concentrate and do the notes, and study a lot. Quizlet really helped me, which is a studying cite that has flashcards and other studying tools. Also, engage yourself in classroom discussions and ask questions if you don't understand something.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Taking AP Psychology this year was especially important to me because it is helping mwe understand myself and my own mental illness and why the medicine that I take helps me. It shows me the processes that my therapist used that actually helped me. At times I feel like I was part of an experiment then sat down to watch what happened after I knew the secrets behind what my therapist was doing.

    Course highlights:

My highlight would be the class activities that we do so the whole class comes together and we can see psychology working and exploit the specific behaviors we are studying.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Work hard and put in your best effort. Do the work and learn the material, don't just memorize it for a unit test. Learn it to remember it.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I highly recommend this coarse because it is just a great experience to have. You learn more about yourself and how you function in ways that are fun and relatable. Wouldn't you want to know more about your mind?

    Course highlights:

One of the best units you cover in this coarse is the learning unit. You learn the basics of how learning works, and different ways that could even improve your learning skills as a student.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

It's a really fun class. Not only is it just learning, but you do these projects that give you hands-on experience that really puts an impression on you. I have never had so much fun and learning at the same time!
