    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you are interested in the field of biology as a future career path, this class is for you. This tough rigor and in-depth course is based around the "Big 4 Ideas of Biology," to truly give you the essence of what biology is. Instructors who teach this class emphasize on students achieving a 3 or higher on the National Exam you take in the spring after you finish the course. Achieving a 3 or higher on a scale of 5 exam will give you college credits.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was becoming close with all the students and the instructor who taught the class. After 9 months of taking this course, I learned how evolution, behavior, and the building blocks of life has built the Earth and its organisms to be what it is today, and continue to change and evolve as time moves forward.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the textbook, do your biozones, ask questions, and stay involved in class.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I highly recommend the class. It is a great experience for all young students. It teaches you many life skills that you will use beyond the classroom. Some of those skills include time management and asking questions, but the most important skill you will learn is not a skill you can learn in a classroom, but a skill that you will learn with time. That skill is critical processing and understanding why things happen.

    Course highlights:

There were many highlights to the course. From the labs to the daily lectures. My favorite highlight of the course was the atmosphere of the course. The teacher made the classroom a room where I could truly learn and explore my questions and curiosities about bio.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in AP Bio you need to ask questions. You can't be afraid to ask questions and wonder why the process works the way it does. Make sure you complete the bio zones and mastering bio knowing the material. Don't just complete them because you get points for them. If you don't understand the material on the homework assignments you won't understand it on the test.
