Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I think statistics is a very different type of math course. It is not quite systematic, and almost everything is open to interpretation. This can make it either quite easy or very challenging, because its not just completing formulas. Also, I think it has really helped me put the world in perspective, and it teaches a lot of practical knowledge that I actually believe will help me. I can compare data and make informed decisions based on that data.

    Course highlights:

I am currently learning probability, which isn't essential knowledge but definitely helpful. I know how to compare averages and other aspects of any data sets and graphs. We have also covered collecting data, so I can tell the legitimacy of statistics.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Your book is your best resource. Don't hesitate to ask your instructor for help, but the book is very thourough with guided examples, review sheets, and practice tests. Answers are also listed in the back of the book.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is different than many other math courses. It involves more real world thinking and problems that relate to actual research, enriching practical thinking skills.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were getting to take part in a different kind of math class. I learned how to test claims and interpret data which could be useful in many careers such as business and engineering.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would tell students to read the textbook and ask questions. Since this is an AP class, the teacher most likely will not hold your hand through the course, so it is important to take that initiative yourself.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course was extremely helpful and was a great prep for AP Calculus

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about Trig and how it applies to Calculus and previous math subjects I've learned.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you practice, practice, practice all the time!
