Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mrs. Hausman is an amazing teacher, who fully divulges the AP Literature curriculum through analyzation of pieces like, Jane Eyre, as well as, The Grapes of Wrath. I love how much I look forward to learning in this class!

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about British literature through a novel called Jane Eyre, written by Charlotte Bronte. I have learned to be able to detect symbolism and figurative language devices in these novels adequately, which is useful when writing a timed essay.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not get behind on work, and make sure you try hard in this class. Mrs. Hausman is great, and she deserves your full attention as she teaches you the wonders of literature.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this class due to a variety of factors. One of the biggest ones is the teacher, Mr. Blair, who ranges from extremely comedic to very emotional and heartfelt. He is always willing to help students who need help (both relating to his subjects as well as sometimes those not), and as a result everyone in the class is energetic, comfortable, and willing to work on the material he gives us. Overall, he is a great role model of how to teach, and I wish many others would follow his example.

    Course highlights:

Besides the aforementioned Mr. Blair, I am learning different and new writing formats (villanelle poems being one example) and techniques in addition to general writing tips. As someone potentially interested in writing, this greatly helps as I shed away bad habits that I did not even realize I had. Also, the book discussions we have are good in that it is another technique of his that brings people who would otherwise not know each other together, thus leading to new friendships blooming as ideas and thoughts are passed between classmates.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Always be sure to take notes WHILE reading, and then adding notes on top of what you read, usually with a second reading in order to fully grasp concepts. This is important as discussions can get in depth, and thus it helps to truly understand what you're talking about!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course if you want to become a better writer which is heavily expected in college. In this we learned how to write essay and thoroughly went through the basics of a coherent thesis.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to efficiently use in-text citations, something I had not been formally taught.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise that you complete each assignment because they help better understand bigger assignments.
